SANAGA-YONG CHIMPANZEE RESCUE CENTER

Sanaga-Yong Chimpanzee Rescue Center encompasses 225 protected acres in the Mbargue Forest of Cameroon. IDA-Africa is working with the Mbinang village community and the Cameroon government to bring protection, via ecoguards and education, to the greater Mbargue Forest. We recently completed extensive wildlife and social surveys as part of the arduous process to expand the protected area status by approximately 75,000 acres.
